A thought provoking piece by Dennis Matanda at the Sub-Saharan Africa Roundtable, Africans: A race that got lost a long time ago: “And in response to Koluki’s www.africanpath.com’s article on ‘Are We Losing the Plot?’ my answer is a resounding YES. I will even dare to go further by saying that we lost the plot a long, long time ago and there is no hope for us – unless of course, shock therapy is applied. I know that this is going to happen in the next few days. But between now and then, we Africans should stop singing praises about being a proud black people. I think that we should all just wear sacks, cover ourselves in ash and sit on street corners – if we can find the time to leave our misery, poverty and selfishness!”
