Tanzania: dual citizenship debate

Metty weighs in on dual citizenship debate in Tanzania: “Just a little further, globalization means mobility of labor and resources. Isn’t that’s why Tanzania is trying to lure foreign investors? If that is the case then, fear of foreign “invasion”, which has been cited as reason against dual citizenship, is more than a narrow view.”

What about the human rights issue? Why should someone who is married to a foreigner renounce his/her Tanzanian citizenship, just to enjoy benefits of another country’s citizenship? These seems anti-mtanzania on behalf of the Tanzanian government.
I am currently married and having a child with a Tanzanian. As an American, why shouldn’t we all be able to pay taxes and reap the benefits of citizenship. Citizenship engenders participation.
Fear engenders death of an economy, death to national pride, and collapse of a nation.
