Cuba: When in Cuba…

“In my previous life as a journalist…I once spent a day working in a busy restaurant pretending to be a kitchen hand. It's an old journalistic stunt that is supposed to allow you to learn first hand how other people live and work, so that you could then go away and write about it. It’s a lot of fun but…the reality is you always go back to your comfortable cocoon.” Neither Child of the Revolution nor Uncommon Sense is impressed at the Associated Press‘ Havana Bureau Chief's announcement that she will “spend all of June trying to eat like an ordinary Cuban.”

Oh MY GOD!!! On how little does the Cuban live!! How atrocious, how savage are those God-awful sanctions imposed on Cuba by the US!!! And, … How much love the people of Cuba have for their leader, for his Marxist philosophy not to rebel, not arise for so long, after 40 years?!?! – despite this horrendous suffering – despite all the propaganda that pours in from the North for so long!!! God love Fidel!! Long Live Fidel!!!

St Ann…Either you ar in the backwoods of oriente, or you have no idea what the people of Cuba really DO go through. The only reason there has been no rebellion in 40 years is because, wait, there HAS been! And every time the rebels have either mysteriously disappeared, or their families have suffered for their “misdeeds”. I know more than one family that is “fresh” from Cuba (less than 2 years), and all of them are overjoyed to be here and off of “Alcatraz” as the young people in Ciudad Habana call the island with no escape. So either do something to help, or go back to Cuba (because I know you are not there now, since they do not even have true, unfiltered internet access).

Castro fallecerá con todos sus hijos.

    Vive Cuba libre!!!!!!

Stephan: I guess you equate unfiltered internet as success of a nation. China filters there internet yet you do a trillion dollars of business a year with them.
on a whole they are the least poor island nation as far as education housing and over all poverty. Just look at the Dominican. USA influence, sure thousands of americans and europeans buying property now the domicans can look forward to cutting there grass and washing there dishes. At least the Cubans are guaranteed an education.
