The following are the PAKISTANIAT for me

. When i see Pakistani Flag flying on August 14th.
. When i hear the Muazzin calling for Prayer.
. When Mahdi Hassan sings-This is your Country and you are its Guardians.
. When i see people praying on the deck of a Pakistan Navy Vessel.

  • This term doesn’t make sense and I as an PAkistani being don’t know what that means. There is nothing and no such a word as Pakistaniat with 4 sinnbals, the max is 3 PAK=IStan=i.
I think people should stop making up new words which doesn’t even fit and looks very fake.

  • For me roadside pan shops ,rickshaws and the co2 emission and cheerfull secular families filling up food stores and playlands maker a irresitable pakistaniat ….

I think you are refering to the essence of being a Pakistani national and all this primordial connection entails. As a Pakistani living abroad, any reference to something/someone back “home” strikes a fierce sense of sadness and nostalgia, for a place that often seems foreign to me yet is always willing to welcome me home with open arms. Happy Independence Day!
