Myanmar bloggers are posting videos and pictures of the large protest that took place earlier today in Yangon, the former capital and the largest city in Myanmar. The protest was led by Buddhist monks. It is the latest in a series of month long demonstrations against the military government and was initially fueled by price rises.

I would lidke to request all our friend gp doctors to take care of our monks. I hope they are doing the right thing. Please inform your nearest Dr about sick monks in order to visit them for treatment. Medical professionals include doctors, indigenous practitioners and nurses

go good monks-we love you
Please save the monks. Wouldn’t beating these monks be the same as beating Gandhi and his non-violence movement? Let us not repeat history. Let us raise awareness. Let us have our voices heard.
Anyone wanting to post information about what is happening, telling people what they can do to help or passing on other information to aid the monks and all the protestors can use the email or contact page on the above site (http://notesandcomments.com/ideas/) and I will make sure it is posted as soon as possible.
Anyone who has internet access, but does not have a blog can use this to get their message out.

Recalling the monk demonstration and self-immolation - has it ever occured to anyone this might be staged?
Anug San Suu Kyi’s connection with the CIA (thru our intelops like DIA officer Col. Robert Helvey) and the Karen insurgency is an open secret:

I found out about this when Helvey bragged about his “non-violent warfare” on NPR a while back.
Let us join our support for freedom instead of criticize our weaker nature. Awaken to the reality that this movement must be supported spiritually and physically with all our combined effort. None alone may prevail save the one mind (yours) eliminating all unwholesome thoughts (greed, fear, ignorance), cultivating wholesome thoughts (generosity, love, wisdom), and purifying our intentions. Let us ascend together. May the Queendom, which is Burma, reassert her true nature for the benefit of all beings. She holds for us great promise. Let us finally allow for her to fulfill that promise. Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!
