  • Back in 2006 at the end of several years research, we (P-CED) published a strategy paper for action against poverty, the root cause of these problems, in Ukraine. We have also reported on the mistreatment of disabled children in the article “Death Camps for children”.

This, the dark side of greed based capitalism our founder began campaigning about a decade earlier.

At the core, the multitudes of disposable children who will graduate to a life of street crime and prostitution to maintain the momentum of trafficking as desperate people grasp for a lifeline.

The UN has recently raised the alarm over continued poverty and an HIV epidemic which now threatens all of Europe, as we related nearly 2 years ago.

It’s taken more than a decade of campaigning for changes in the way we apply capitalism and here and now in Ukraine we have the result of doing next to nothing.

There are many obstructions, not least from within Ukraine in a campaign of disinformation. Outside Ukraine from those that could support us, cronyism and a ‘not invented here’ mentality are in full force.

It if high time for some paying attention.

Apply for refugee status, where are you located.

I have a girlfriend in Ukraine that I cannot get back to
see, I have some knowledge about different events in the
    world.
Of course when I was in Ukraine I saw many notes from
mothers looking for their daughters who had disappeared.
    This is common.

Organizations that work with human trafficking in Ukraine who may be able to help include La Strada, IOM and OSCE, with the first two dedicating substantial resources to the problem. You may be able to contact them for additional assistance.

Customers of Ukrainian mobile phone service providers KyivStar, UMC and life:) can dial ‘527’ from their handsets in order to receive information and advice from the IOM on migration and trafficking issues. Also, check out the website: gvnet.com/humantrafficking/
