  • Thanks for quoting me, Amira. I am interested to see what comes of The Kalima Project, which aims to translate 100 books into Arabic in the coming year.

    The premise is that more books are translated into Spanish each year (to choose one language) than into Arabic in the last thousand. This project seeks to remedy this imbalance and broaden the works available to the literary Arabic audience.
