Global Voices Online

Global Voices offers all our content under a Creative Commons Attribution-Only license. We do this to make it easy for our content to be re-published on other websites, commerical and non-commercial, so long as those sites credit us as the original source.

We go as far as offering code that can be cut and pasted into most websites to incorporate our content into your site. (Visit our feed page and choose the “JSS” option for any link to generate code to place our content in
your site.)

We believe that sharing our content in this way is most consistent with our main goal: making the voices of bloggers around the world heard by as many people as possible.

While we authorize and encourage people to use our content, we feel it is important that global voices and our editors and contributors receive appropriate credit. So, the Creative Commons license we use requires that authorship of the content must be attributed in the manner we specify. At a minimum, we require that attribution of our content include:

• A link from the text used back to the original post on Global Voices
• The text “Global Voices” hyperlinked to “http://globalvoicesonline.org” (This second link is not required per item used - a single link to Global Voices on each page displaying multiple pieces of content from Global Voices is adequate.)
