India: On Saddam and America

Bodhi's Hop on Saddam's execution. “News channels (most of the English ones being either American or British) are tireless in showing file pictures of Saddam's statues being pulled down and people celebrating with fire from AK47s, while quietly forgetting the anger and resentment evident in daily bomb attacks by armed Iraqi militias.”

The media apparently, anywhere in the world has one common agenda. They portray events that occur from a single angle and deny themselves to be inaccurate even once in fear of losing credidibility. This applies to mostly high voltage political and economic problems of the world, while when it comes to other issues, the single story on any news channel can be viewed from many differant angles. This is true especially true incase of natural calamities, disasters and sports. Its up to the individual to understand the reality by reading between the lines and protecting oneself from any kind of propoganda or bias. The others who are not interested in going deep in knowing what is really going on,they can be skin deep, not have a care about anything and just sit back, nod with any incomplete story the media has to offer, criticize and insult people who think otherwise.
