Noemi is not happy with the internet search result for the word Filipina. The blogger is urging fellow bloggers from Philippines to collectively beat the porn and smut marketers by actively using the keyword on their blogs and linking them to non-porn sites

Thanks for spreading the campaign. It’s not to totally put down these sites. We want equal opportunity to be placed in the “Filipina” search engine results.

Why in the world would any female (pinay or not) object to being called sexy? I would imagine it is one of the most ultimate of compliments!
Yes, geo marshall, that’s so true. Many of us, Filipinas, want to be called sexy but we want the word sexy to encompass the totality of the person and not just the physical, as is often referred to - and most certainly not what the smut purveyors want to portray.
Thanks, global voices online, for featuring this. This post is now number 2 on search results for sexy filipina.

As a Peruvian, I applaud that campaign. As a man who works in the marketing area of one of those companies which are usually called “mail order brides” I must say there has never been intention to offend. Actually, lots of people want to marry Filipino women because they are better than what these guys have got at home.
Just an opinion… don’t crucify me.
