I am so sorry for what has happened in Tin Shui Wai in the last few yesrs. So many family tragidies happened. Some innocent kids got looked down upon at by others outside the town just because they were, or their parents were from China. Because they were from poor families, because their parents were non-educated, because they lived on welfares. At home, they didn’t enjoy peace and eventually got killed by parents whom they trusted and expected love the most.

The residents of Tin Shui Wai are being labelled due to the many unfortunate cases in the recent years. I really hope the government of Hong Kong, mass medias, every ordinary Hong-Konger would do something to help them. I hope the government can open more facilities for them. I was shock and surprised to find out that there was not even a proper hospital with emergency room in that town(I read it online). The government just proundly announced their great surplus 2 months ago, I guess it is not too much to ask for some basic facilities such as hospitals, police stations, community centres, parks, etc. I hope the mass medias such as radio & TV boardcasting organizations can help to cheer up the town. They are the professionals, they should know more than anyone else on how to bring happiness to the town. I hope each ordinary Hong-Konger will stop singling out the Tin Shui Wai residents. They may be poor but they have feelings, they have flesh and blood just like you and me. Some of them may abuse the welfare systems but it doesn’t mean everyone of them are bad. Our parents came from China, too. I would like to look at Tin Shui Wai as part of our whole Hong Kong community. They need help and I believe everyone can offer. It doesn’t cost a cent to spare a smile, a sign of acceptance, a warm greeting, a minute to listen……. Live and let live. Please be nice!
