What isn’t known so much is the true reason for the baggage handlers’ strike: Many were fired for stealing bags selected by the x-ray machine at the airport used supposedly to detect weapons. This was actually recorded by hidden cameras and was shown on the local news channels over a month ago. It is not higher salaries or better work conditions they want…it is to be able to get back to stealing electronic devices that can be sold on the black market at a handsome profit.
after a few days of rest, i’ve finally penned down my experience. boy, was it hell! http://luckofseven.com/day_190_191_my_return_buenos_aries
